Hekerua Lodge is an eco-friendly backpackers, centrally located in magical NZ Bush & Birds Waiheke Island, New Zealand . We provide a unique opportunity for the adventurous youth traveler to experience an  authentic kiwi way of life, seamlessly connecting with nature through the adventures and community.

While you are on Waiheke, be prepared to open your mind, body, and soul, ultimately forming memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.

Our purpose is to facilitate the ultimate Waiheke Experience! To provide to travelers from across the globe a combination of Community, Adventures, Nature in a Fun atmosphere!

FAMILY DINNER

Every Wednesday evening, the Team get together to cook amazing meal to share at the table together. ($5 is appreciated, please let us know if you have any dietaries requirement, we will try our best to feed everyone!

SUP for 'Stand Up Paddleboarding'

We have over 10 boards we can rent or we organise tours you can book. SUP is weather dependent. But message us your interest and we will try our best to take you out!

WINE TASTING

Waiheke is well known as the 'Island of Wine'. Wether your are a 'connaisseur or not, visiting at least one of the beautiful winery while staying with us is a must!

Walking tracks are connected all around the island, depending on what you are after you can choose from a range of stunning walk to explore the island.

MOUNTAIN BIKE

You can get in touch with our mates to rent your bike and go for an adrenaline adventure!
